1. Whitney called a bit ago and we conversed as she walked home from the transit, after one of her two summer classes. It was nice to hear her voice, and catch up a bit on things. I miss her. Jasper seems to be adjusting well to his new surroundings and stays up until the last person heads off to bed. I miss him too.

2. I dragged out the hose and cleaned some of the filth from the outside of four of the windows (and screens) today. Armed with Windex and a couple of old bath towels, I tackled the windows from the inside, tilted them in and cleaned the remainder of the crud from the outside and wiped out the sills. All those nooks and crannies are irritating. If the weather is fit tomorrow, I plan on attacking the remaining windows.

3. Since the hubby is on 4/10 hour shifts, arriving home around 1:30 a.m.,  I have taken to making lunch instead of dinner. We use to have dinner around midnight, once he had relaxed a bit after work. He now packs a lunch (dinner) and eats during break at work. I usually opt for leftovers (before midnight).

4. I return to that glorious place where I am employed next Thursday. I can't wait. *note extreme sarcasm*

5. My tomato plants seem to be growing and the pumpkin plants have broken ground. I feel there is no hope of the green beans appearing. May purchase more beans tomorrow while doing the weekly shopping and give it another go.

6. I do believe by this time last year, the hubby had wrestled the window air conditioners into place. I rather enjoy having the windows open and having fresh air waft through the house. We finally have sunshine again. Once the summer heat sets in, I fully expect to be dragging out the hoodies and a cosy quilt for warmth.

7. Speaking of quilts, I feel the urge to make another one. Maybe one expressly for snuggling while I relax on the couch or love seat watching tv and chatting and such.
